Keep Pushing The Envelope

God always wants us to be excellent in anything we do. My mission is to be a blessing to couples that’s why my goal is to always think of new and creative shots for my couples. Last weekend, I had a fun shoot with Ric and Mae in Tagaytay. I just want to quickly share [...]

Last weekend, I had a fun shoot with Ric and Mae in Tagaytay. I just want to quickly share one of my fave photos from that day. Our last stop was at Balay Indang. I just loved the idea of creating a picture-frame like shoot so I used the the window and highlighted the colorful sliding door behind the couple. At Imagine Nation, we are trained to really be equipped with any lighting situation. Whether bright or dark, expect us to deliver :)

I’m finally settling in with married life and it’s really been so hectic before, during and after the wedding. I’m blessed to have Heidi since we are both photographers and she understands the busy cycles of being a wedding photographer. I was in the U.S. for a solid month from May to June. It was quite an adventure since I went around the U.S. My itinerary was San Francisco – L.A. – New York – San Francisco – L.A. It was tiring going around but I believe it helped me a lot in sharpening my skills and thinking of new and creative ideas to shoot . I’d like to share a preview of things that I’ll be posting this month from my shoots there.

Wedding Season has Arrived!

November 24th, 2010

It’s that time of the year again. During the months of October to January, things get crazy for us wedding photographer since it’s the height of our shoots. Straight days of shooting, sleepless nights, equipment fail, missing Christmas dinners/reunions, no more social life to name a few. However, we also witness so many  heart-warming, magical [...]

It’s that time of the year again. During the months of October to January, things get crazy for us wedding photographer since it’s the height of our shoots. Straight days of shooting, sleepless nights, equipment fail, missing Christmas dinners/reunions, no more social life to name a few. However, we also witness so many  heart-warming, magical and blessed moments from couples and their families. I really believe its a calling to be wedding photographer and those who last are the one’s  who love everything about shooting weddings…the good, the bad and the ugly at times. For us at Imagine Nation, we realize that passion can only take one so far and eventually one can have a burn-out from all the demands of shooting weddings. But when you have a purpose to glorify God and honor him through serving our couples with great love and care…we will never get tired of shooting for God.

Here’s a preview of my shoots ever since I got back from my U.S. adventure….more to come, enjoy!

Finally! I’m happy to share with you that I was part of the team who created the Starbucks’ 2011 Planner. Last July, Starbucks hired me to shoot images for their upcoming planner. The idea was to showcase some of Starbucks Philippines’ popular and unique stores in Metro Manila and provincial stores namely – Tagaytay, Batangas, Baguio,  Bacolod, Cebu and Boracay. It was a different and challenging experience since I was out of my comfort zone from shooting weddings and primarily shot the storefront and interiors. So what are you waiting for? Start buying your favorite Starbucks drink so you can get your free planner!

I’m sure its gonna be a great day of shooting. In the meantime, here’s a preview of my other San Francisco engagement shoot. After I had lunch with Eric and Fritz, JT and Gucci was up next and they picked me up at Fisherman’s wharf. I’m shooting their wedding this coming November in Manila. The last time I saw them was when we met in Manila early this year and booked me. I must say they were looking great and both of them lost a lot of weight. These two are very athletic and regularly compete in triathlons. I heart the locations they chose especially Land’s End, now I know why you love that place Gucci! See you guys in Manila!

We started early, had breakfast at Mel’s Drive-in Diner before heading to the Palace of Fine Arts. I could not resist shooting them, so while waiting for the food, we did a quick shoot.  More images and stories to come…

Our dear friends Erron Ocampo and Jesy Alto finally got married! Erron was one of our mentors in Imagine Nation, someone we really looked up to since he is such a naturally gifted photographer and a true artist. Jesy is also one of the top bridal make-up artists in the country. These two have been together since college and is a match made in heaven and we are so glad that they finally got hitched last October 5, Tuesday. These two were such a joy to watch during their wedding vows, they were like children – playful and pure, as if they just fell in love like yesterday…the way love , I believe, should always be. Yes! I’ll  always be a hopeless romantic.

Since I left for the US the day after their wedding and have been moving around to do my engagement shoots, I’ll post more photos soon when I get some down time over the weekend. For the meantime, here a sneak peak, some of my faves from the wedding. Congratulations Erron and Jesy!
